A View from Below

From the archives, Epidermolysis Bullosa Journal entry, July 9, 2008– Met with Garrett and his family today. it was extremely hot in Newman, 110 degrees. Today was a bandage change. We went swimming to escape the heat, and so Garret could soak his bandages. I brought disposable, waterproof cameras so I could photograph Garrett and his friends in the pool, and underwater. This begins the second part of this story, documenting Garrett outside of the house, interacting with friends, and in other environments.

Caption: Taken with a disposable, waterproof film camera, these images show a different perspective of Garrett. These images were never considered for the final essay due to their fine art nature.
