The Spring Show is always a fun experience. This year though was exciting in the sense that it had a rather large turn-out of people. The photography exhibit was so packed with people that it was extremely difficult to move. The photography collection was really amazing this year. But there was numerous work that didn’t make it in, that should have. It was rumored that judging for this year’s show extremely brutal. It’s sad that a large collection of work was kept in a closet away from the public eye solely because it didn’t make the cut. I spoke with the MA student rep. suggesting that we take all of the rejects and create a salon style exhibition for the public to view. He had been thinking the same thing. The problem was where, and how to get the school to release them to us for public exhibition. Would it be against school policy? An interesting thought to ponder.
